Proverbs 16:9 In a mans heart he plans his course; but the LORD DIRECTS HIS STEPS

Here are some picture from march so far:

This is the Asolo Train that takes people up and down the hill but only during the Marketina.. which is an Antique Market with some incredible Items from around the world.

Once a month people come from all over to set up this Market in the Asolo square.

Inside La Rocca. An awesome day with Kevin, Mary and two of their daughters Eva and Claire.

They say on a clear day you can see all the way to Venice. I haven't be able to testify to that yet but you can see far.

Man God knew what he was doing when he brought us together. He knew the exact man I need. So thankful!

Sorry I have tried and tried to get this to be facing the right way.

It's our town!! I love this TOWN!
Another beautiful Villa close by us!

This one is for you Tony.

I love this picture the Church is surrounded by Vineyards.

Kylie sporting her new handmade Italian Pretty!

Tony and I had our first long bike ride together this Sunday. He had me set a goal and made sure I completed it. He is the best coach, encourager, friend and husband a girl could ever have.

And did I mention dead Sexy!! This one is for you Paul Harrell of Harrell's Bicycle World

This is a Witch. Every year right before Easter she is driven around town and they have speakers and they announce her burning time. Then at night hundred of people gather in Asolo's piazza and they perform and they speak about the past year and it is turned into an almost a skit. Then everyone takes turns laying their wrong doing from last year on the witch in hopes of good luck for this year. Then they light her on fire...

So close to the truth... we do have to have someone intercede for us we can not rid our sins on our own. Their does  have to be a sacrifice but not a Witch made out of paper we need Jesus the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE. He was pure and Holy with out Sin yet he took our Sin upon him so that we could have a Restored Relationship with Our Heavenly Father. He died that we could have Eternal Life. And now we only need to pray to him to forgive us our sins and except him into our hearts.

ON OUR WAY TO VENICE!!!! YAY!!!

These are our favorite Widows to look at!!

This is our group getting a Spritz at a Cafe in the Jewish Ghetto.

To me it would be kind of risky to hang my clothes on that line but these people are professionals =0)

Thousand and I mean Thousands of bridges and canals.

There are no words to describe his excitement about McD's =0) Gosh he is so awesome!

Our favorite photo! Venice in a nutshell Gorgeous!

Behind us is the Rialto di Ponte  it is called the true heart of Venice.

So blessed the Lord brought us together!! Tony was my saving grace several times on the that day trip!

Miladi, Me, Giovanna, and Barbara. Thank you Barbara for inviting us on this wonderful day trip! Such an amazing woman!

Looking out from the top of Rialto di Ponte

Rialto di Ponte: The current structure was built in just three years, between 1588 and 1591, as a permanent replacement for the boat bridge and three wooden bridges that had spanned the Grand Canal at various times since the 12th Century. It remained the only way to cross the Grand Canal on foot until the Accademia Bridge was built in 1854.
(Tony is the last person on the Left when looking at the photo)

There fish Market is HUGE but luckly for me we had missed it.

We got yelled at and I am pretty sure asked to leave because I was praying in the wrong direction.

The Bascilica

The Bascilica

Tony at San Marco's Piazza

Intricately decorated by mosaics and topped by impressive domes, the Basilica di San Marco was completed on this site in 1094. A combination of Byzantium and Gothic architecture, the Basilica houses the body of Venice’s patron saint, St. Mark.

The Lion is the Symbol of Venice

The arch you see behind us is actally a bridge. It is is called "sight Bridge" It connects the Courthouse to the Jail. It was called sight bridge because if you had to got to this prison the Bridge was the last night you would ever see the out side world again. all the bars of the prison are cemented shut.

And then my camera died so thats all folks. We had a wonderful time!!

Does prayer change things?

Today has been all about Prayer... the importance... the why we do it... the does it matter...

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sins and will heal their land.

I woke up with this verse running through my head. I started to ask God so many questions.... and you know what God is soo good. He answered them.

I have been reading a book by Elizabeth Elliot called, "Keeping a Quite Heart".
Keep a Quiet Heart
Its a book I bought about 3 years ago and never read. However when we were packing "what to bring" I for some reason (God) felt inclined to bring it. Amazing book with short little wisdom's, revelations, and so much truth. Well when I picked it up today it was on prayer actually the next 6 pages were on prayer and why you pray.

This is what Elizabeth said (paraphrased) and I whole heartily believe it. There are 3 major reason why you should pray.
1. God commanded it
2. Jesus prayed (even though God knows our hearts and thoughts he still wants to hear them)
3. Spiritual Laws. Elizabeth talks about how their are not only physical laws like gravity but also spiritual laws and sometimes God will not act until we humble ourselves and pray, showing belief and faith.

This is why I wholeheartedly believe the 3rd reason. Because when I read it, God reminded me of my mission trip with Teen Missions Internation to Egypt in the Summer of 2001. We arrived at 11:00pm into the Cairo Airport, we were the last plane to land. There were 27 students and 5 adults. We were all dressed in dark blue jean pants and bright magenta pink t-shirts. Needless to say we were extremely easy to pick out. Our rides were not at the airport and later we actually found out that they had gotten the days confused, and all our bags that had the majority of our food were missing. We also couldn't not find anyone who spoke English to help us. Finally around 1:00am in the morning they told us that we had to get our things and leave that we could no longer wait inside the building. I remember feeling panic as the police started to shew us out with automatic guns strapped on there backs. Our leaders told us all to hold hands and just pray to ourselves at that moment. Within in two minutes a women approached us her name was Cecile she was the wife of the president or the American Embassy. Fluent in English and Arabic. She had been in the airport since 7 that morning. For the last 7days she said that she had a reoccurring dream that she was to come to the airport and pick up this group. She said it was so vivid that she knew she had to obey it. She said in her dream that she always approached the group of pink people when they were holding hands in a circle with heads bowed. She saw us arrive and she wanted to run to us but she said that it was very important that she wait until the right time. She had 6 mini vans waiting for us she took us back to her apartment and fed all 32 of us. Then the next day she rented a huge bus to get us to our destination, The Lillian Trasher Orphanage in Assuit, Egypt. I learned so much about the power of prayer that summer. Cecile  wasn't a believer but yet she was obedient to the dream the Lord gave her. We got to share the gospel with her and I know that her life will never be the same as none of our lives were either.

Sometimes God will not move until we humble ourselves and pray. So do not quit. And do not let up! But keep on Praying! BECAUSE IT DOES MATTER!!

Here are a few more pictures:
This was on my solo bike ride. I rode back to the Temple.

I know that it is blurry but one night around 9 o'clock we heard music playing SOO LOUD. I know this looks like a bunch of women dancing in the street but its not it was a bunch of the local men dressed up with blonde wigs. There did this for about 2 hours... crazy!

Speaking of studs... Here is mine. Cant wait to see Spring here and  Vineyards in full swing!

I do not know whats prettier the background or that bike! =0)
